Enyx IP Core technology featured by Xilinx at 2019 Mobile World Congress
Enyx, a leader in ultra-low latency FPGA-based technology and solutions, is proud to announce that its 25G TCP/IP Core technology was featured by Xilinx, Inc. at the 2019 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month. Xilinx utilized the Enyx TCP offload engine to power its demonstration on application layer security offload for high efficiency in telecom data centers.
The demonstration highlighted the key benefits of using Enyx’s full hardware TCP acceleration technology for offloading processing power for maximum bandwidth delivered with low latency. In the demonstration setup, an HTTPS server runs on an Intel i7 desktop PC equipped with a Xilinx UltraScale+ based PCIe card where the network and SSL Layers are fully offloaded in hardware. Additionally, a standard HTTP Client runs on a Dell server connected via the Mellanox Connect x5 25G NIC and generates HTTP requests.
See topology below :
- Runs on Xilinx UltraScale+ based PCIe cards including Alveo Accelerator Cards
- Enyx 25G MAC and 25G TCP offload engine (ToE)
- Stateful Security (TLS/SSL) offload engine from Silex Insight
- Utilizes Xilinx QDMA as PCIe DMA
- Features Xilinx software drivers and libraries
Currently, the demonstration achieves usable 20Gb/s bandwidth and full duplex transferring encrypted information in both directions simultaneously (from server to client and client to server).
